Women Veterans Australia secures NSW Government business grant

Women Veterans Australia are proud to announce that is one of five organisations awarded funding as part of the NSW Government’s $1 million boost for women in small business!

With this support, we’re launching the inaugural ‘NSW Phoenix Entrepreneur Program’ — part of our broader Phoenix Program, which empowers women veterans at all stages of their journey. Informed by research and designed to meet the unique needs of women who serve, this initiative is a game-changer.

In partnership with Entrepreneurial & Small Business Women Australia (ESBWA), the NSW Phoenix Entrepreneur Program will deliver a transformative 8-week business coaching accelerator program for 30 women veterans.

Participants will be guided by experienced business owners through business development, scaling, and long-term success strategies.

This is the first program of its kind in NSW—providing tailored support, guidance, and community to women veterans as they transition from military to civilian life.

This program is about more than just business—it’s about visibility, leadership, and empowering women veterans to redefine their future as entrepreneurs and changemakers in their families, communities, and industries.

Women use networks to overcome barriers and support each other. This program creates a space for shared learning, connection, and growth.
